Water Beneath My Feet

Students will become familiar with unconfined and confined aquifers and identify different aquifers in Kansas. In addition, students will also construct a model landfill.

- Students will explain the difference between an unconfined aquifer and a confined aquifer.
- Students will develop a map that shows a Kansas aquifer and list the major characteristics of this aquifer.
- Students will construct a model landfill.
- Students will study the model landfill and determine the effects it has on the water supply.
